YEG Soccer Project aspires to enhance the soccer experience in The City of Edmonton through community engagement and advocacy. We believe soccer is an integral part of our cultural, social landscape and an exceptional vehicle to promoting health and wellness in our community. Soccer has tremendous and inherent social benefits. Whether it is health and wellness, gender equality, leadership skills, or community involvement – Soccer shines as an amazing resource for all ages.

We advocate for Edmonton to have a healthy and robust soccer experience including quality facilities, youth player pathways, accessibility all while remaining Canada’s most affordable sport.

YEG Soccer is currently working with the City of Edmonton on the following:

​

  • Grassroots and community driven soccer advocacy and awareness campaigns

  • Soccer events such as Festivals and Fundraisers

  • Education resources and seminars

SOCCER IS HERE AND IN HIGH GEAR!

We are collaborative by nature. We look to engage with other sport groups, Community Organizations, soccer teams and Government bodies to better soccer in The City of Edmonton. 
As Soccer participation and popularity explodes we want to ensure we are included in conversations when it comes to Sports in the City of Edmonton.

The purpose of YEG Soccer is to raise the profile of soccer in Edmonton. YEG Soccer provides support in discussions around Edmonton's soccer facilities, and how we can ensure accessibility, affordability and quality across the city. Our ultimate goal is to build a new soccer dome in Edmonton that is available to the public as well as local soccer clubs to bring our city's soccer community together.
